Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the booking and rental of vehicles from Rent Corfu Cars. By making a reservation or renting a vehicle, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to the terms outlined below.
Our goal is to provide transparent, fair and reliable car rental services in Corfu.
1. Vehicle Rental Agreement
The rental agreement becomes valid upon vehicle collection. The renter agrees to use the vehicle responsibly and in accordance with Greek traffic laws and these rental terms.
Only drivers listed in the rental agreement are permitted to drive the vehicle.
2. Driver Requirements
To rent a car in Corfu, the following conditions apply:
Minimum driver age: 21 years (may vary by vehicle category)
Valid driving license held for at least 1 year
International Driving Permit required for non-EU licenses (where applicable)
Valid passport or ID must be presented
3. Booking and Payment Terms
Reservations can be made online, by email or by phone
Prices are calculated based on rental duration and vehicle category
Payment methods may include credit card, debit card or cash (subject to vehicle type)
A security deposit may be required depending on insurance coverage
All prices include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
4. Security Deposit
A refundable security deposit may be required at the start of the rental.
The deposit amount depends on the vehicle category and selected insurance package.
The deposit is returned after vehicle inspection, provided no damage or violations have occurred.
5. Insurance Coverage
All rentals include basic insurance coverage as required by law.
Optional insurance packages may include:
Reduced excess
Full damage waiver
Theft protection
Insurance does not cover damages caused by negligence, off-road driving, or violation of traffic laws.
6. Fuel Policy
Vehicles are delivered with a specific fuel level and must be returned with the same level.
Failure to comply may result in refueling charges.
7. Vehicle Delivery & Collection
We offer car rental services across Corfu, including:
Corfu Airport pickup
Hotel or accommodation delivery
Port or town delivery (upon request)
Delivery times are agreed in advance and delays should be communicated promptly.
8. Rental Period & Late Returns
The rental period is calculated in 24-hour increments.
Late returns without prior notice may result in additional charges.
Extensions must be approved in advance.
9. Vehicle Use Restrictions
The renter agrees:
Not to drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs
Not to use the vehicle off-road or on unpaved roads
Not to transport illegal substances or goods
Not to sub-rent or allow unauthorized drivers
Violations may result in immediate termination of the rental.
10. Traffic Violations & Fines
All traffic violations, fines and penalties incurred during the rental period are the responsibility of the renter.
Administrative fees may apply for processing fines.
11. Cancellations & Modifications
Free cancellation may be available up to a specified period before pickup
Late cancellations or no-shows may incur charges
Booking modifications are subject to availability
Please contact us as early as possible to change or cancel your reservation.
12. Accidents & Damage
In case of accident or damage:
Inform us immediately
Contact local authorities if required
Do not admit liability
Complete all necessary documentation
Failure to follow procedures may void insurance coverage.
13. Personal Data & Privacy
Personal data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Information is used solely for booking, rental and legal purposes.
14. Liability
Rent Corfu Cars is not responsible for loss of personal belongings left inside the vehicle.
The renter assumes responsibility for the vehicle during the rental period.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Greek law.
Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Greece.
